Part
3 - Only Oxymorons or Acronyms Need Apply
Pike,
Spike, Tops, Terry, Thorn, Bill, Mouse, Dino-Bot, Orn, Tyro,
Lil' Rex, Claw, Al, Sting, Crunch, Hardtop, Fisher, Coel…
the characters were cast…and as their adventures grew, eventually
they morphed from just a collection of friends to two elite
teams of…well I wasn't sure. But I did come up with some
totally cool names for them.
Pike's
team became known as Peace Force (note Orn hadn't joined
the team at the time when this picture was taken):

While
Tyro's Team became Super Terrorist Organization Real Mean,
a.k.a. S.T.O.R.M (Coel had not joined the team at the time
this picture was compiled):

By
the time this organization came about I was working my way
through High School. During which I began taking Drafting
and Art classes (as well as a year and a week of Spanish).
In the art classes I learned the revolutionary concept of
horizon, which helped my drawings come closer to what I
saw in my mind (I also discovered that pigeons walk on their
toes, which changed the way Pike and the others walked).
This
helped me take a strong step forward in taking Pike and
his friends out of a cartoonish existence, and push them
toward a slightly more realistic push.
I
had also finally discovered the true home of Pike and his
friends and enemies. The rather obviously named: Dino Island
(filled with marvelously original locales like "Where'd
He Go Tarpits" and the "Hilly Hills").

So,
I had my heroes and villains. I had the place of conflict.
But what in the world would they fight with?
