1. What is Starfire?

Starfire is an action-adventure science fiction novel set on the alien world of Sauria, written from a Christian worldview.

On an alien world far removed from Earth, a Saurian warrior named Rathe seeks to rise from lowly origins to achieve greatness in the Karn Empire. Rathe is haunted by a terrible secret as his military squad is given a mission that will take them deep into enemy territory and into the deceptions of his allies. Soon he will be forced to decide between saving his empire now and possibly ushering in a doomed future or destroying a friend to possibly save the world from an age of darkness. And all the while he confronts Wayfarers telling him there is a Being who desires Rathe's worship, a Being who has a plan for him.

2. What does Starfire have to do with Kanner Lake?

When suspense author, Brandilyn Collins, first began work on her Kanner Lake suspense series, she wanted to have one of her characters be an excentric science fiction author who was constantly working on his story and referencing his world.

Brandilyn had met Stuart, the author of Starfire, previously at an American Christian Fiction Writer's conference where he had made an impression while speaking in his alien language, Saurian. So she contacted him and asked for permission to use Starfire as the novel her writer was working on.

Thus, the charcter Ted "S-man" Dawson came to be one of the odd characters that frequented the Java Joint in Kanner lake. He also became a fan favorite and was a central figure in Amber Morn, the third book of the Kanner Lake series.

You can learn more about Kanner Lake and get some early insights into Starfire by reading the Kanner Lake character blog, Scenes & Beans.
